Kyle Busch Will Be Tough To Beat At Richmond
Kyle Busch is always a threat whenever he straps into the cockpit of a NASCAR racecar. Whether it’s Trucks (he runs his own company, Kyle Busch Motorsports), Nationwide (four wins in eight starts this season) or Sprint Cup (one win, sixth in the standings), the younger brother of Kurt is arguably the most talented driver in NASCAR. That talent really comes to the forefront on short tracks, where it takes a certain level of finesse and aggression, so when it comes to this Saturday night’s race at Richmond International Raceway, which isn’t quite a mile long but races like a superspeedway, you can expect to see Busch at the top of the odds at your favorite online betting sites.
Busch has dominated at Richmond, winning the spring race the past two years while finishing fifth in the 2009 fall race, and then he came in second to Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin in last year’s fall race, working his way up from a starting position of 32nd. In 12 races at Richmond, the No.18 driver has a finishing average of 5.2 with a ridiculous 10 top-fives, and in the spring race, Busch has never finished out of the top five, posting a nonsensical 2.5 average.
Of course, Busch will have to deal with the likes of Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, a resurgent Dale Earnhardt Jr., and of course, five-time defending series champion Jimmie Johnson, who is coming off a thrilling win at Talladega. But if you’re going to win at Richmond, you’re likely going to have to beat Busch to do it, and he looks like a different driver this year, still aggressive, but he knows when to pick his spots. Don’t be surprised to see Kyle Busch and his No.18 Toyota Camry in Victory Lane on Saturday night.

The Winner Arrived To The Indy Japan 300
The Indy Japan 300 has a new champion. After Dan Wheldon monopolized the championship for the last two years, a new winner has raised: Helio Castroneves. The pilot claimed his second straight win of the season on the IndyCar Series. The first one was the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
Dan Wheldon was on the run towards becoming the first IndyCar Series pilot to triumph three straight years at the same track, but it just wouldn’t happen because Castroneves had different plans.
This is the first time Castroneves wins in Japan. He stood out from the other drivers during the 200 lap race. By the moment he crossed the finish line last year’s champion: Dan Wheldon was 6.3851 seconds away.
When Castroneves assured his victory, he got out of his strong Dallara car, and with his own traditional celebration, he climbed the fence to show everyone he had won at the 1.5-mile Twin Ring Motegi circuit north of Tokyo.
The 93 points that the pilot had accumulated during the IRL championship worked out just fine for him as he got to start the race from the pole position. This, but most of all his driving skills helped him to lead for 184 laps and finally obtain the victory over all the other pilots.
